My gas guage has had intermittent readout (a signal or no signal) and it looks like a bad potentiometer on the gas sending unit. Per some previous posts I bought a Smith type replcament for an MGA. The swing of the arm and the potentiometer resistance matched perfectly with the Singer Jaeger gage readout. But the arm on the MGA sender is shorter than the Singer unit. One option is to extend the arm by soldering an extension. But a better question is whether anyone a has ordered a replacement (MG TC TD etc) that is a near replacement for the 4AD, i.e. same arm length ?
Thanks, Ken

Re: Singer 4AD Gas Sending Unit
I am sure something fits but I always extended it by making a new arm.
