Among the treasures found in a barn in Baillon, France, is a Singer.
Can someone help me identify the model, i'm not a postwar specialist.

Re: Postwar singer barnfind
With the 'S" hood emblem, and the red enamel radiator badge it is the same as my 1952 4AD Singer .. wheels are 4AD, but looking at the front of the door it may have a vent that went on the 4A model, a bit hard to see.
My guess is a 4AD ..
hope this helps ..

Hi,
The cars from this barnfind were auctioned in Paris 6 February 2015.
The 1954 Singer Roadster ended up at 10,728 Euros (~USD 12,200) which seems pretty high considering the condition of the car. On the other hand the car seems untampered and original although very rusty and also the wooden frame is likely to be rotten. I think that the fact that the car is part of this much talked collection have raised the price considerably. Interestingly this Singer is just like mine, a twin carb version and the serial number 3114 is only 46 away from my 3160.

There was also many other interesting and rare cars - http://www.artcurial.com/en/asp/searchr ... a_10514440
The highest end price was for a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, over 16 million Euros (~USD 18 million). Pretty steep.
Regards,
Pekka
