Just bought copy of "Stirling Moss - the Authorized Biography" by Robert Edwards. Apparently both his parents raced cars. There are 2 pictures from 1935 of his mother Aileen in a trials event driving what appears to be a fairly new Lemans. It has CPD 7 liscense on the front along with badge bar holding 3 lights. 4 badges are on original light bar, and spotlight is at passenger side of cowl. The second photo (bigger) shows her driving thru flood while Stirling's father Al is photographing something. It is possibly an earlier picture as there are only 3 badges on light bar, though rest of equipment is the same. Credits show photos from Stirling Moss' collection.
Question - Does anyone know more? Does this car still exist?

Moss Singer Lemans
Gene A,
Guess i should have used another user name.
As a member of NASOC since 1975, guess I haven't contributed much lately. I still have my 1951 Singer 4A. One day I may get around to it but other projects have taken precedence. Gene S

Thanks for forwarding copies of pictures showing Stirling Moss' mother at the wheel of a Singer Le Mans. Her place in Singer history is well known to the club and certainly attests to the pedigree of the marque. The club (SOC) also has a more recent picture of Stirling Moss himself at the wheel of a Singer Le Mans at a meet in England.

Good fortune seems to have smiled on me. My Le Mans frame got caught up in a bankruptcy scenario for the company doing my powder coating. I went to pick it up and the place was cleaned out - empty. Fortunately I was able to track it down and recover it. It now sits in my garage waiting to be adorned.
