Bantam II

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Bantam II

Post by Peter McKercher »

For the sake of clarity I am reiterating my original posting verbatim

For all of you folks that attended Stowe, you will know that Kenlis Pearce is currently the caretaker of a one of a kind Singer Bantam that I discovered several months ago. I offered Ken and Graham the car in the hopes that they would want to restore it. However, it is currently beyond their scope to do so.

The car is therefore again available, free, for anyone who would like to undertake a very large restoration project and get it back on the road.

If there are no takers, the car will be broken for parts and the proceeds will be turned over to the NASOC Treasury for the benefit of the club.

If you are interested, please contact me for pictures and further info.

I have asked Kenlis and Graham to stand back as I will handle all queries, per the entry above.

In terms of feasibilty of restoration, it is not for the novice. It will require a lot of work and money, but will be a rewarding and invaluable contribution to pre war automotive history on wheels. I can assure you that it is in no worse condition (probably much better) than the similar example shown at http://groups.msn.com:80/SingerBantam/s ... lbumlist=2

I am locking this thread because it is just a repeat of the first that has gone way off topic.

I am not deleting it because the original subject on the first one has been lost to all the posts and it would be easy to miss this information in the first one.

I am considering a variety of options for cleaning up the first Bantam thread of all the animosity when I do I will unlock this thread. Most likely I will do what I said I would not do and move all the non-subject posts to their own thread.
