Steering box mounting

Hello
I am trying to mount a pre war singer 9 Steering box and don't have the mounting bracket. I currently have the Bantam style steering column which is too short. The longer one I have obtained has no bracket and I have no idea how it is mounted.
Does anyone have a picture of how the box is mounted on the chassis?

Hi. there us a "U" shaped bracket that hold the and of the steering column in place. That bracket is bolted to the cross member that also serves as the front base for the front engine mount. To assist in reducing torque from the steering there is also a brace near the bottom of the steering assembly that connects to the side rail.

This whole thing is problematic in the long run. There is a lot of stress in this area and many cars have cracked cross members. Beefing it up with a plate underneath (not original but can help) is one option along with a stronger lower brace.

Hope this helps.
