Satin Sheen black paint

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Satin Sheen black paint

Post by cdk84 »

Does anyone have a reference code for a really satisfactory and durable satin finish black paint like the finish on many modern cameras, suitable for dash knobs and under-bonnet thingies?

This might, perhaps, not even suitable for a Singer, but I'm still interested to know.

Cheers,

David

Try Duplicolor Universal Flat Black. It has a sort of velvet finish which should work. If you want to shine it up a bit without going super glossy, try a little Future acrylic Floor Polish. Just brush it on - it's self levelling. Just make sure you clear any drips from the bottom edge of the piece you're coating by dabbing with a tissue.

Hi Peter,

Please excuse the delay in my response.

Thank you for the recommendation. When time allows I look forward to trying it and am grateful for the suggestion.

Very Best,
