It is also 5/16 diameter but with a larger thread pitch. Is it 5/16 SAE ? I thought SAE thread pitch was small...

Thanks for your helpful message.
Maybe a VW beetle sender is what they refer to :

I'll ask my "beetle expert" (or "coccinelle" as we call them here) friend.

Re: Fuel tank sender

Thanks for your input. I have to order this book. I know VDO is a german equipment manufacturer, dials on my 911 are made by them. They seem to make 5 bolt fuel sender. http://cdn.busdepot.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/265x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/J/1/J11553.jpg I have to check th...

Fuel tank sender

Hi all, i'm now working on the fuel tank of my '37 9 sports. I've removed the fuel tank sender and it's of course completely rotten and stuck. I don't see any in Dave Hardwick's catalog. Would anyone have a suggestion for a replacement one from another vehicle ? http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/859...

Spotted at an Amilcar event

A nice 9 Le Mans was participating to the annual Cercle Amilcar-Pégase excursion which took place nearby. Regrettably, i arrived too late to discuss with the owner. http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/502691DSCN2469.jpg http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/308897IMG3951.jpg http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics...
