Do you or anyone else know if the mascots were the same on all the Singer roadsters? Not sure myself. Maybe someone in the club can verify that one from a 1948 is the same as a 1953. If it is, I will send you my email address and we can discuss the purchase.
thanks

Radiator mascot
I am missing the mascot that sits atop the radiator shell on my 1953 4AD. First, does anyone have an extra that they would like to sell or know where one can be purchased? If not, since I never had one, what does it look like. If some one could take a picutre of it it would at least be a start. Also...

Rear leaf springs
I found on my 1953 4AD that the left rear of the car was lower then the right, 1 1/4-1 1/2inches. After looking at the leaf spring, the one on the lower side is definately flattened out more. Not knowing which is correct, I wonder if anyone has dimensions that the springs should be in the unspring c...

Does anyone have a part number and or a source for wiper blades for my 53 4AD? An interchange number may also help.

Side mirrors
FYI: I know that these mirrors are not "original equipment" and would not pass the test in restoration competition but they are going to work just fine for my 4AD driver. The are universal replacement motorcycle mirrors from J.C. Whitney company. They are quite well made with good chrome a...

Re: Transmission Cover
Thanks for those that replied. The mold would be somewhat complicated and the finished item would not be exactly like the original. Some "negative" surfaces would have to be changed in order to remove the cover from the mold. I would have to use my cover as the master to make the mold and ...

Transmission Cover
I am considering making a mold to replace my transmission cover in the 53 4AD. I have a functional cover now but not pretty. It would not be worth making a mold to do one, and wonder if there is any interest from other members in obtaining one. It would make the new parts out of fiberglass. Let me k...

Re: 4AD rear register plate mount
I have a picture and dimensions of the license plate mount that I had to make for my 4AD but can't get the web site to load it. If you send me your email address I will send it to you direct.

Re: muffler?
Thanks, will check it out and see if it is any different then what I have now. What I put on was a muffler from a Alice Chalmers tractor that I found at a farm supply store. It was almost the same dimensions except it had 1 1/2" inlet and outlet. I have never heard a Singer running before so ma...

muffler?
I installed a muffler on my 53 4AD and found it to be a little loud. I had to go to 1 1/2 inch tailpipe material since the muffler shop could not bend 1 inch. Does anyone have any suggestions, or what you have used?

Side mirrors
Does anyone know a source for the two side mirrors that attach to the windshield brackets on a 1952 4AD?. I see a lot of mirrors in the usual internet sites but non have the correct mounting hole spacing. Has anyone had any experience in finding some that look good and attach correctly?
thanks

Re: Oil capacity
Thanks for the reply. It came to me later when I remembered how big those "pints" were when I was over in England a few times.

Oil capacity
I put the required 7 1/2 pints of oil in the engine today that the manual says on my 1952 4AD and the dip stick shows about half way between "half" and "full". Is this the requred amount or is the dip stick wrong?
