Re: lockheed decal

Sorry to hear that David and thanks for sharing. Can you advise me and others of the Brand you used as one to be wary of? For information, I used Klear with the lightest of application, and with no issues but appreciate certain brands can be problematical to obtain.

Re: New Project

On the subject of starter motors...mine needs a rebuilt too but I wondered whether anyone knows if a later and generic M35G starter can be made to work if fitted with an original mounting plate; naturally 10 teeth and CCW? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lucas-type-Inertia-starter-motor-M35J-M35G-1-repla...

Re: Wiring loom cover

Pretty straightforward to make. Use a copper tube, open it up and work a flat face into it. Width matches column width; runs the length of the column from the bulkhead and terminates where the tube enters the major casting component. Two spring clips as per picture. A cable tidy essentially.

PS. After owning an Austin A30, their factory fitted heel mat serves as a useful reference point for the project. I suspect they were thin and survival rates are zero.

If its a winged badge I think it touches the perimeter of the inner rectangle; another handbook clearly shows script...all good stuff for those who care!

Re: Lockheed done. New project started...

Thanks Phillip for sharing this picture and the information about NASOC's commissioning of Metro rubber to produce a heel mat. After visiting their website today to review the mat's design and its proportions (12'' x 17'') does not accurately reflect the mat depicted in several handbooks- which is a...
