parts needed

I am looking for a couple of parts for my 1952 4AD. I have one of the bonnet hinge stip mounting brackets, and need one more. I also need a couple of the "acorn nuts" that hold the ignition wires into the distributor cap. My cap is good but would consider a cap with all the "acorn nut...

Re: REAR BUMPER MOUNTING

thanks a lot for the picture. I am sure now that I did not ever have that bar and will have to fabricate it.

REAR BUMPER MOUNTING

I appear to be missing the brakets that mount the rear bumper on my 1952 4AD. I have the two "L" shaped brakets that bolt to the frame but they do not mate up to the bumper well. From a very small picture of another 4AD there looks like there is a steel flat bar that goes from the corner h...

brake master cylinder

I am having trouble getting the master cylinder to work properly on my 52 4AD. It appears to pump in both directions where others I have worked on have a "check valve" type system , I cannot find this. Does anyone have any diagrams or information on this unit that they would be willing to ...

Re: choke & starter cables

I just took a look at my old dash and the holes are not countersunk for the choke and starter cable mounts. When I got the car the original choke cable was not there and one was crudley mounted to the to the back of the dash. The starter cable was there (presently I cannot locate it) but was damaged...

choke & starter cables

I am looking for a set of choke and starter cables that will work on my 1952 4AD. I have not found a source for the original cables and have tried some from MG midgets but the thread length for mounting is not long enough. I really do not want to countersink the back of the wood dash. Does anyone ha...

Trafficator bulb

What is the correct bulb (lamp)number for the trafficator on the 4AD and what's the best source for them. Also I am looking for a source for the electrical connectors where you have to branch off two wires from a single source using the "bullet" style connectors.

thanks

"52" 4AD brake help

I am about ready to put the body back on the frame on my 4AD and before I do, can anyone shed any light on the adjusting process of the hydro/mechanical brake system. It appears now (the way it is adjusted) that the rear linkage will not allow the hydraulic master cylinder to activate the front brak...

Fuel line fittings

Looks like I have to replace the fuel line on my 4AD. Are those brass fitting available some where? Looks like they are a two piece type with a brass sleeve soldered to the steel line.

thanks

Parts identification

Thanks for the reply. I will go through my list of what I would like to replace first and then get back to the board when I run into trouble. I got a quote on re-chroming some small parts, could fit in two pockets, and would need to take out a second motrgage to go that way.

Part Numbers

I have the roadster spare parts manual but there are no plates that show the body or trim part numbers. I see that Trevor has a lot of body trim parts for sale but it is difficult to determine the correct part without the part number or correct terminology. Does anyone have these part numbers and de...

4AD GAS TANK

Do you still have the gas tank? If so, is the baffle secure and does it have any dents? Will be passing through Arizona in a couple of weeks and would stop by and take a look.

oil pan gasket(s)?

Are there two gaskets for the oil pan on the 4AD? It looks like the two metal baffles go between the pan and the block. Is there a gasket on either side of the baffle? The parts book and the gasket kit has only one.

thanks

4AD front brake assembly?

Thanks again Mark, the pics look great and very familiar. Should be able to get the brakes back together today. I am a long way from the finish line but heading that way.
