What I have found is the the oil filter was leaking and I had a thought that when the car is moving it could be pushing the oil down to the bell housing and making me think it was leaking from there ? GearBox bell housing leaking oil

Hi Everyone .. when I restored the Singer 4 AD I reconditioned the motor but not the gearbox because it seemed OK .. just recently I have noticed a puddle of oil under the car and on closer examination it was found to be coming from the hole in the bell housing .. My questions are .. is there a seal...

Hi Mark .. thank you for your info on the door pulls, but I went thru the website you put up and could not find anything that resembles the original Singer slide handle .. I checked other sites and as far as I can see their is nothing similar out there .. No problems will wire brush the existing one...

Hi Pekka ... Thank you for your post .. the perspex windows are 4.5 mm thick as against the originals being 5 mm or there a bouts,.. the nearest thickness to the original .. I know perspex will scratch easily, but with the car not being an every day user I will do my best to cover the perspex when s...

Hi Fred .. I used brass and had them chrome plated .. stainless is a better option but not sure about the milling process, as it is a lot harder.. I will let you know if it goes ahead .

Hi Lois .. there are 2 footman loops one on top and the other near the hub hole in the wheel, I do not know if they came out like this, but I did mine this way to hold the spare wheel securely. find it hard to upload images, sometimes they work other times they dont. WHAT A GREAT DAY ... we had 220 registered entries, the weather was good and everyone had a great time .. 4 Singers arrived and made the Channel 7 news ..
Its on again next year, on the first Sunday in May eg 3rd May..
