Can someone in this forum let me know where I can purchase a replacement 500x16 Bias ply white wall? I am familiar with Crocker Tire but I prefer to buy from someone else. I would consider a used trye because I only need one for a spare.

Thanks to everyone for their input. I was able to contact Gregory and I have ordered the straps. I sent him a letter by US Postal Service and he contacted me by phone. He does not check his emails often because he is semi retired and is doing his sales from his home. I guess I should have waited for...

Can someone let me know if the boot, when open, is flat and level with the ground? My boot only opens half way, not like the picture above.

There should not be any play in the cable housing, other words the housing needs to be tight against the fire wall so the cable can move in and out without the housing moving. You may have the cable to loose, that is what happened on my car, to much play in the cable.
