Hi There is a later flywheel ring gear with 112 teeth. The starter motor for that has two mount holes vs three of earlier one. The pinion set up on this starter is a different style to the earlier one. The starter's two holes will match with two of the three on the engine. You will need to get the c...

Hi
Disconnect the oil pipe, that runs from the front of the block to the pump, at the oil pump. then put some oil into the pump from the top. Reconnect the oil pipe making sure the nuts are tight.
Turn over on starter without coil connected as suggested.

Potential purchasers should be aware that the Aus dollar has fallen more than 20% against the US dollar So the book and postage is cheaper than it was

Hi You are not good detectives VDO has head office in Germany with branches in many countries including Australia. Find a Speedo and Instrument shop and ask for VDO fuel tank senders and gauges.
