Does anyone have an idea of how many Singers currently exist in North America. My PO mentioned a number of 41 4A's to be known to exist in NA.
Does that sound correct?

I found a source for 5/16 rubber welting, and was thinking that size might be appropriate for the Singer.

Hi D'arcy, Here is mine pre-removal and it looks like option #2 to me. My car was pretty original. It did have some paint work in the rear, but to me it did not look like the cowl had been touched. My 4A does have a flywheel cover on the bottom in addition to the bellhousing. Sort of fills out the bottom of the bellhousing and seems to make accessing the clutch easier from underneath,
Can send photo and dimensions if you need.

Looking for replacement fender beading. This went between the fenders and the body and also there was a strip between the front/rear fender and the floor board.

Any ideas on sources, material of construction, and dimensions for this beading. Also was it painted or black?
