Re: Engine Cylinder sleeve

No idea on the shipping, that is why 3 blocks have already gone to the dump along with a few gearboxes and body parts, no one wants to pay shipping. Its a HEAVY block and not in great shape but externally appears to be uncracked but shipping will be a lot.

Sleeving is probably your best bet.

Re: Engine Cylinder sleeve

where are you located ? you are welcome to one my blocks, they all have rust in the bores but at least its consistent and not one cylinder that is real bad. I think I have 3 blocks left, sorry the others went to the dump.

I can barely walk in the garage right now, I was lucky to have that much floor space to open the crate with the drums. 2 cars too many in the garage right now (and the Prancing Horse is not one of the too many).

WOW these things are BIG brake drums

Got my new brake drums from Len for the 1.5, WOW these things are huge. And they look great too. The green one on the left is a original brake drum, since these are finned drums for better cooling they are bigger and I knew that but wow. Just goes to show everything is bigger on the 1.5 then the 9, ...

Re: 1952 4AD Roadster rear axle wanted

I second that. Get some made from modern metal and never even think about the axles again. I did that to my 4AD back in the late 1970's and its still going strong.

Re: Recession! What recession???

that does seem a bit steep...I'd make it into a PDF and put it on this website for all to see but I would not pay that much.

Re: STOWE 2012 OFFICAL THREAD - CHECK HERE FOR LATEST NEWS..

I have been following this post and I have NOT seen "regular updates" where are they ? Time is getting close for some people to be making vacation plans, it may still be months away but some people need to plan time off, flights, or get their car finished, so they need to make a decision. ...

Re: Pressing on with restoration, removing the body.

I do know there are 4 basic attach points that hold the body to the frame. 8 bolts, not 4. Of course I last did this in the late 1970s but its 8 bolts. 2 up front by the cowl, 2 by the rear of the doors, 2 at the tail and uhm...where are the other 2 ? I forget but its 8. Unless you meant 4 points o...

little down time

We had a little down time yesterday and today (and will again this weekend). Lost a hard drive and had to shut the system down to put the new one in, then during the boot something went kablooie on the network and the system was up but not on the internet, I could get to it locally so I did not know...
