possibly its the starter switch and dashlight switch.
This from the 1 1/2 ltr and Nine HP Sports instruction book and repair manual.

Fuel tank dipstick
Having made a calibrated fuel tank dipstick for the Austin Seven, it seems like a good idea to make one for the Singer.
Has anyone got any pictures (and indication of scale) of an original fuel dipstick for the 9 Le Mans?
Thanks

Re: 1934 SLM rear axle hub
Progress of sorts. The diff is out and bits inspected. The offside halfshaft has a very sloppy fit into the diff. There is enough movement to be felt at the wheel. So I am not sure what is worn and what is supposed to be like what it is. The tube that the halfshaft slides into has enough clearance t...

Re: 1934 SLM rear axle hub
Bearing replaced ok. However no reduction in the amount of movement when the wheel is shaken. The brake drum moves relative to the backplate. If the wheel is rotated 90° then the movement is reduced to nearly nothing. It is not the halfshaft being loose on the taper. I had the halfshaft clamped in t...

Re: 19" Wire Wheel Question; Wheels Wanted
I waited with interest to see what answers would come up. Ah well!
However 19" front wheels will almost certainly have rubbing issues on the inner wing.

Re: 1934 SLM rear axle hub
Thank you for that info Mike. I also had a long chat with Dave Hardwick last night (there is not a concept of short chat with him!) and he described exactly what you say and stated that it should take no longer than 30 minutes to have the bearing dismantled on the bench. He also said to leave alone,...

1934 SLM rear axle hub
I am playing safe with this post and hope to avoid any unnecessary trauma and damage in dismantling one of my rear hubs. I am not sure if its a bearing or loose taper yet, but I detect a small amount of in and out movement when I grab hold of wheel and shake it. This movement is not present at all p...

Re: Burman Douglas steering nut
Hi John Apparently these steering boxes were awful when brand new, according to a vintage MG friend of mine! I do not know the specification, but you could try asking the company that did my overhaul. By company I actually mean Simon Everett of Steering Services, steeringservices@btinternet.com, +44...

Re: Apron Wing Nuts
Gosh that's a bit different to the scruffy nut and bolt on my Singer Le Mans!
This prompts me to ask why one would need to have easy access to remove the front apron?
