Re: 34 LM rear fender
In addition to my own cars, here are a few other samples. Here’s one that is about as original as they get. Yes it is a Nine Sports, but same configuration as the Le Mans. This one is a 1 ½ litre Le Mans and the rear wing and rocker look pretty dead even. This is a Stefano-Parachi car, looking relat...

Re: 34 LM rear fender
Mike All the examples I have at hand are either even or slightly below (1/2"), although even at that, they appear to be even from a distance. Given they were handbuilt and fitted I'm sure you will find a subtle variety. Remember also that these were Trials cars and you wouldn't want anything li...

Re: car is falling apart faster than I can take it apart
Guys Luan is a product intended for interior applications only. Moisture tends to delaminate the plies. I would go with an exterior grade spruce plywood on the Roadster, as the arches are pretty significant. For the Le Mans, definitely go with the ash. The pieces are very small and you won't waste a...

You're at the fun part Mike. I have to wait until my garage is finished before I can tackle the body. In the mean time, my parts shelf fills with gleaming, restored Le Mans bits. I'm dying to put it all together.

Re: Introduction
Roly I too have a '34 Le Mans and a couple of '34 Nine Sports which have the same front end. Yes, they have 90 degree nipples (sounds a little kinky). Once they are installed, you may also find when you try to grease them, the grease shoots right out the bottom of the kingpin, rather than lubricatin...

Re: New Record Auction Price for Singer?
It certanly bodes well for the investment we have made in our cars although on the down side it tends to put some of these cars out of reach for the newbies. These four cars of course are the Singer Holy grail and that coupled with the fact that they are pre war cars and have a documented racing her...

Great to see some pictures in real time from at least one show this year. Kenlis is definitely one of our more enthusiastic members and always flies the flag high. Well done on your win and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Don't push it, but I look forward to seeing you at Lori's barbecue if you a...
