Re: lockheed decal

To resolve some process issues a few tweaks have been needed- but we are almost there. Hoping to make these waterslide transfers available by the end of the week after evaluating the transfers in the flesh. Picture shown is a second test run to verify colour etc. A couple of text updates needed too....

Re: lockheed decal

An interesting decal just shared with me fitted to a '33 Coupe. A later replacement can? Girling brakes are explicitly mentioned in the Bantam handbook.

Re: Singer badge- starting handle bracket

Robert- don't get too excited as the original medallions were 1'' high and so are the transfers!
A good addition to a dash board though.

Re: lockheed decal

Thanks to Tony Raynor (and Phillip). This evening Tony has supplied further images of his original brake fluid reservoir that will determine a definitive design. Enjoy the pictures of a gold AND silver foil transfer; some subtle tweaks needed re: Lockheed typeface and proportions and also the 'autom...

Re: Singer badge- starting handle bracket

Those who have placed order will also receive one of these beauties for their support, patience and tolerance- a silver-foil transfer replica of the medallion issued to those who attended the 1939 SMCC Rally- the 2nd Singer Club Rally. Replica medallions to follow at some point!

Re: Replica waterslide transfers

Many thanks to everyone who posted an expression an interest in these transfers...I have ten transfers left that are ready to go. Drop me a message if you would like to make a purchase. For those who 'order' an 's' badge- I finally collected the polished castings this afternoon and they are now with...

Re: lockheed decal

Yes. Gradually all the snippets of evidence are coming together nicely. Tony's first hand account will be a crucial piece of evidence and determine a consensus design. The 3 x 2 dimensions worked out great on the can which I mocked up today. It should also accommodate any variations of bracket posit...

Re: lockheed decal

Looking forward to seeing a few more pictures of Tony's original can. Well done Phillip. The remaining body colour almost looks gold. Today I conducted a little more online research and reached the conclusion that in the period ad. the triangular logo in this shorter label is in fact centred and loc...

Re: lockheed decal

Well I had a few spare hours this afternoon and building upon the great work of others (Phillip et al), I decided to had a go at the lockheed decal. Graphically, I opted reproduce the shorter one that suits a single mounting bracket arrangement for the reservoir (approx. 2'' wide x 1.5'' high). Type...

Re: Replica waterslide transfers

Well, the gold foil batch arrived and they look amazing and are worth every penny. I have a batch ready to ship. Quality cost I am afraid they will be £16.50 inclusive of postage. However, if you have ordered a 'S' badge(s) from me and will cut you a good deal. PS. I am collecting the 'S' badges on ...

Re: Replica waterslide transfers

It was good but not good enough. Artwork now sent to print after finding a second company who can produce a transfer using a gold foil finish to achieve a better quality product; and a finish I suspect the original transfer had based the original Singer cycle/ motorcycle transfers I have seen. Incre...

Re: Replica waterslide transfers

Thanks for the feedback. My personal litmus test is asking myself would I be happy with it fitted on my own vehicle. At this moment in time, dimensions are excellent but the gold finish need to be better. Heading in the right direction though.

Re: Replica waterslide transfers

First application test result. Needs a little delicacy in trimming to the contour edge and when applying.
Maybe sensible to provide a set of three to enable a trial run....
