I met Robin and his son many years ago when he came to visit me. Nice gentleman. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.

Yes it was a fun but time consuming job. Lot of little things and some big things to sort out and it took 3 blocks to get a good builder.

Howard, When the engine got up to operating temp the pressure went down. Also you can adjust the pressure relief valve located by the oil filter. Screwing it in will raise the pressure and screwing it out will lower the running pressure when the engine is at speed. The recommended pressure in the mi...

I second all that Steve W said.
Also I have always used a couple coats of Copper Coat sealant on the head gasket.
The sealing of the side plate use a good soft 1/16" thick gasket paper and the RIGHT STUFF gasket sealant/maker sold by Permatex.

Stephen, Maybe someone else can post a picture. Mine I used a bicycle brake cable at this time as it is still just a running chassis. The info I have for the distributor points are fits a Triumph TR-2. Single carb Singer. Not sure if a twin carb takes a different point set. You did not state single ...
