Re: The Restoration of AYW709
I assume they were original. I had a full complement of them on my Nine Sports which had all those sorts of bits as original. Here's a shot of Bob's very original '34 Le Mans as well which has the same cast brass toggles.

First Run of the season 2022
First run of the season. Quite early for Ottawa. I don't usually get out until May. Only running on two cylinders when I pulled her out. The needle on the back carb was stuck and no fuel in the float bowl. Just took 5 minutes to clean it up and reassemble. Changed to NGK B6HS plugs. I think it is ru...

Re: 34 2-Seater seats
Here are a few shots of mine. Note in the 2nd shot there is a piece of wood screwed down to retain the lower edge of the partition. This appears to be a plywood strip on your car. It's ash on mine. The partition is covered in vinyl both sides. Also, wheel arches have vinyl covered card. The third sh...

Re: 34 2-Seater seats
Door pockets are correct. I think you have enough shots of everything else with what I sent. Hard to measure the seat back accurately with upholstery on, but I'll try.

NASOC News Issue 1-2022 - correction
As my new book on Racing Roadsters is nearing publication, I regrettably have to correct the record on a just published piece in the North American Singer Owners Club news magazine. In Issue 1-2022, Editor Phillip Avis penned an article entitled “A Racing Roadster Returns Part I”. In it he writes th...

Where are they now?
NASOC First Eastern Regional Meet at Elkton Md. Looks like some nice cars. Anyone know where they are now, apart from Bill Bikle's?

Canadian Singer advert
An interesting ad from the Montreal Star July 1954 pertaining to the Singer Roadster. Two locations for retail sales are mentioned. The Ottawa location was about 3 blocks from my house and I used to take all my cars there - e-type Jag, Sunbeam Tiger and various Singers
