Re: The Saving of BMX 7...

Hello again, Mike, Thank you so very much for explaining those details: it's very helpful. CRL157 was ordered early in November by the owner of The Sloop Inn, a Bed & Breakfast just at the launching ramp of St Ives Harbour beach, that's been in continual service since 1312. Sobering to think wha...

Hi Colin, Delighted to see that your car and that radiator have been 'reunited'. Nicely done, and very good fortune indeed. What would we do without networks of friends who keep an eye out for us? Delighted to see Little Bea in full trim. The hood adds a swash of period style! Look forward to hearin...

Re: New Project

Hi Colin, Thanks ever so much. I feel very grateful to have had my life lead me to BMX 7. I suspect that sounds a bit 'over the top', but I feel we found each other. You may remember that the car was on offer through this website. I attempted to connect with the seller because scuttlebutt had it tha...

Re: The Saving of BMX 7...

As we know, in the UK, it is very possible the car was actually registered as a '34 If it was built and sold prior to January 1st ,1935, even though it is a '35 model year, and this is probably why Wayne advertised it as much. BMX-7 was probably issued to the car in late 1934 judging from the numbe...

Re: What did I do this weekend ?

Those footwells look the bomb.

Nicely done!

There are so many similar things I could be doing, but am still setting up the shop in the garage.

It take quite a while to be ready to be ready.

Hello Jeans O M, Love to see the progress you are making and the beautiful color you chose for your comely car. Keep us posted, would you? It's a very handsome job you're doing. More photos, and a description of some of the challenges you've encountered along the way might smooth --or even re-ignite...

Re: New Project

More wonderful progress, Colin. It continues to be an inspiration to 'watch you' work. I know Darcy appreciates it, but feel equally confident that there are those who don't weigh in but still have their interest rekindled just to see what hurdle you've next trounced. Brilliant. Very best from over ...

Re: Kaye Don for Auction in March

I've seen it posited in print, on this website I believe, that there is only one Kaye Don. If this car is a Kaye Don, what was the thinking behind the statement that the Kaye Don car was unique? Is there something more to the claim that isn't clear? Is there only one Kaye Don from its inaugural year...

These photos are beyond wonderful.

Thanks so much for sharing them.

They are such a window on a simpler time: beguiling.

Re: New Project

If the chaps who had the parties in the back needed the opener to be labeled 'opener', you may well have more surprises in store before you're finished renovating the car. They might not have been the brightest bulbs in the packet, but clearly their hearts were in the right place. I defer to our est...
