Sorry Mike, I should have read your post more carefully. I'll remove the 'interior' lock and take some pictures and measurements the next time I visit my car (it's garaged a few miles away).
Cheers

Re: 9 LM inner door hardware
Hi Mike Attached are a few pictures of the original door catches from my 1934 Le Mans. They were quite worn, especially where the bolts passed through the flange on the frame, and on the bolts themselves. I welded and filed the bolts, made new frames from stainless steel, machined new rivets and fit...

Re: Singer Heel Mat
Could any one please help with my original query please: Do you know if this heel mat would have been original equipment on my early 1934 Le Mans 9?

Re: Singer Heel Mat
Unfortunately AustinRepro only produce a 16in diameter Ashby steering wheel; the Le Mans wheel was 17in diameter.
They do list a 17in diameter Bluemels wheel.

Re: Singer Heel Mat
David Do you know if your heel mat would have been original equipment on my early 1934 Le Mans 9? I wonder if you have ever considered putting your talents to reproducing the Ashby steering wheel? There must be a significant demand for these and I did superficially look into this a while ago. Making...

Re: Turnbuckles
I ordered from their online catalogue and they sent me a mixture of the two types. They quickly rectified this. Maybe best to email them first (enquiries@namrick.co.uk) and attach a copy of my photo specifying type A. They are helpful but may take a while to reply, as they are short staffed due to t...

Turnbuckles
I have finally found a supplier of reasonably authentic turnbuckles with the correct semi-circular profile to the finger grip. They come in two varieties (see below) - 'A' nickel plated, with a thin finger grip and 'B' chromium plated, with a thicker finger grip. Type 'A' is the closest to the origi...

Re: Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
David (Danish) - have you had a chance to measure the end cap for the badge bar yet?
I would be grateful if someone could confirm or amend my estimated dimensions for the radiator cross bar and badge bar.

Re: Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
David - thanks for your reply and the photos. I've scaled up some measurements from your pictures and another photo. This is never an easy task because of perspective problems but I've come up with the following approximations using the radiator grill width as a basis - Diameter of badge bar: 3/4&qu...

Re: Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
Thanks for your reply David. Yes, it is the badge bar in front of the radiator I am interested in. Is the bar in your photo an original? Could you let me know the diameter of the bar, the distance between the fixing bars and their thread.

Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
I've made a radiator shell cross bar for my 1934 Le Mans 9, but the illustration in the Dave Hardwick spares catalogue shows two nuts welded on to mount a badge bar. Can anyone please tell me: 1) The size and spacing of these nuts 2) How the badge bar, which is presumably a length of (3/4"?) tu...

Re: Tacho drive 1933/34
The speedo dial is marked Jaeger and as far as I know the instrument is original, although I suppose it is possible that the movement has been replaced by a later Smiths one at some time in its history. The number printed just below the centre hole seems to be '103' if that means anything to anyone....

Le Mans radiator fixing
I'm about to do a test fitting of the radiator assembly (block and shell) to the chassis to check the bonnet line up etc.on my 1934 Le Mans 9 before plating the shell. Should there be a spacer of some sort (rubber or otherwise) between the shell and the chassis cross member, and if so, what thicknes...

Re: Tacho drive 1933/34
Attached a couple of photos of the ends of the tacho drive (complete with verdigris) from my 1934 Le Mans, which is probably the original. But why an earth cable since there is no internal light in the instrument?? Also for the record a photo of the ends of the speedo drive.
