I am not clear on what you are asking? Which way would best shed water and keep rain out of the engine compartment?

Re: Electronic Ignition for 4AD ?
No, I did not have to change the distributor. In rereading my post, I need to make a correction . I was not having coil failures, it was the condenser that failed due to heat. I have never had a coil failure with my car.

Re: Electronic Ignition for 4AD ?
Mine is still working fine! I did not have to upgrade the coil. Prior to changing to the electronic ignition, I was having to change coils a couple of times a year, mostly in the summer, when the engine runs hotter. The heat destroys the coils.

I believe that the MGT series uses a similar unit.

Re: Singer Cisitalia allied Singer Swallow
Any idea what the bodies will sell for? How do they attach it to the frame on a Singer 4AD? I have a restored 1953 Singer 4ADT chassis & drive train but stalled out about 6 years ago on the complete body rebuild that was going to require 100% wood replacement. I was saving that for a retirement ...

Re: Running board rubber ends
I did a lot of improvising when I did my restoration and this is definitely not original but it has worked well for the past 10 years. I used stainless steel banding that was intended for use as a hose clamp and I believe mine came from Harbor Freight. I drilled holes to match the holes in my runnin...

Your "Johnny on the spot" looks large enough to be a "two-holer" but judging from the line outside it must just have one facility.
Looks like great fun,

Just curious, was the stock stamped "DERELICT" before, or after, you bought it?

Re: STARTER REMOVAL & MANIFOLD/HEADER PIPE
Exhaust pipe will have to be disconnected from the exhaust manifold and dropped down. The exhaust manifold does not have to be removed. MGT starters will work. I believe the pinion gear on the MGT-C is different from the MGT-D/F. Be sure the pinion gear matches the 4AD starter. Be sure the ring gear...
