Re: Super 10 or 12 ?
That number is in the series for a Super Nine, essentially a 4 door Bantam. The Eleven only had a 4 figure chassis number, however I am open to discussion if there is disagreement re this.

Re: G'day from Western Australia
The numbers shown are engine block numbers, the one with IC should possibly read LC which I think would make it a Bantam series, the 555 is from a Nine. The main engine numbers were stamped in the alloy chaincase cover at the front of the engine with luck they should match. Chassis number is to fron...

Re: Availability of manuals for 1935 LeMans
There are at least two types of box an early 33 is different to later, other differences i believe relate to gear ratios. I do have drawings of both but currently I'm in the process of a house move hence they are not accessable at the moment.

Re: 34 Le Mans horn assembly
From the Horn contacts pic the feed from the horn passes to the central disc which is isolated by a fiber washer (not sure how this is held together). The spring rests on this disc and when the horn button is pressed the brass cup makes contact with the larger brass plate(to the outside of the fiber...

Re: 34 Le Mans horn assembly
Hi, the spring in the above pictures appears different to that on my car, mine is a tapered shape and attached to the horn push with small screw. Th spring pushes the horn button away from making contact, so the wider part of the spring must be insulated from the larger disc. I will try and sort som...

Re: 4AD petrol gauge sending unit Needed
My understanding of these units is that they are a coil of wire with a contact slider, if the wire is burnt out sourcing some replacement wire and rewinding by hand would be a possible solution. In the past I have successfully rewound a scalextrix motor (and it worked after!). What does the inside l...
Re: Junior?
Yes I noticed that today.
Re: Junior?
I've seen this in the flesh so to speak, it would be a challenge, probably only suitable for someone with a shed of Junior spares.
I note it has been removed so may have gone to a new owner already.

Two photos of the car on eBay note the front valence is similar to the saloon.

It would be helpful if you could say what model you have and maybe a photo of the gauge you are looking for.

Hi, not seen these strips on my roadster, they do appear very similar to those used on a Morris Traveller as boot rubbing strips I once had.

Re: Door support roller, 2 and 4 seater sports
Hi Steve, Your last pic of the roller in position shows a layout similar to my 34. However I do not have evidence of screw holes to fix it down only one hole which looks like a nail hole (I will recheck this). The first pics of an actual roller are from a 35 car which matches yours (no sill cover pl...

Door support roller, 2 and 4 seater sports
Recent posts on Facebook discussed door support rollers and centred on cars 1935 on (including roadster models). The picture shows one of these. On my 1934 2 seater the rollers are missing, however they are obviously not the same and do not have a mounting flange, the latter pictures show the hole a...
