Oil catcher

So after adding the aluminum head to my 65 Gazelle, I would like to fit an oil catcher. I'm thinking of connecting the small tube that comes from the side of the oil fill tube (about 10mm), and running that to a small box with a gauze in it to catch any excess oil. My first thoughts are to cast my o...

Re: E10 fuel for Singer Gazelle (UK)

I guess it's the rubber that will suffer, eg the pipe that joins from tank that fuel sits 8n, the pipe from the pump and the seal in the pump. I think issues come about when the fuel is left laying around and the car is not regularly commuted. So 8 may stick to the dearer fuel until I learn more.

E10 fuel for Singer Gazelle (UK)

So, fed up with reading the silly FB groups and trying to chat about this, but the new bio fuel thing has happened in the stations and wondered if it's true about using the premium fuel from now on? Just rebuilt my 65' gazelle and fitted alloy head etc. Had the valve seats hardened as usual to suit ...

All completed now. Used several orings and seal to seal the join, motor test OK, cleaned up and oiled in places, ready to fit when I've finished the engine update.

Re: Gazelle heater service

20200420_152007.jpg Goes to show, its worth servicing. Seals very worn, done well for 55years really. 20200420_152007.jpg Rubbed down, dents filled. Will continue rebuilding and updating for reference if anyone else needs it in the future. Did research a little about the possibility of fitting air ...

Gazelle heater service

Hi all, long time no post. (short post goto; 'The point'. But recent (Covic-19), days, I've found myself with more time to prep my car for Classic Le Mans that me and my brothers do every 2 years (it's been put back to 2021). So with this spare time, I'm doing some detailing. I always love keeping M...

Gazelle, clunk when pulling away

HI I am very slowly restoring my old 65 Gazelle (Mrs. Ings), She has done a ton of miles and whilst I have now finished all the welding last year, I stripped the engine and rebuilt it but it was worn in places so will need coming out this winter. So I put her on the road and have been using her for ...

Hi all Can anyone help me here? I am coming close to finishing a complete rebuild of my 65 Gazelle and for the life of me I can't seem to the the handbrake cable in right. The problem is around the rear diff, there are two springs, I can get one spring fitted and that reacts against the bracket on t...
