I've a nine sports with the SS (leMans) engine.
Currently running 90 Main, 200 air correction. Have used 250 ac but a little lean.

Re: 9 LM inner door hardware

Hi Mike While I wait for internal handle mechanism availability, I have tried using a Mini type wire pull without the door trims. Works perfectly - suggesting that the only spring strength required is to return the handle itself to start position. I suppose that depends on the construction of the pa...

Re: Manifold fuel drips

Dismantled old ppes ready to block off and found a smal quantity of fuel so made new pipes 7" long with crimped ends to just allow a weep or gas flow. Now to tune as induction air leak gone!

Manifold fuel drips

The Inlet manifold fuel drip pipes to prevent flooding on my car were made by Messrs Bodgit and Run!
One had just departed company on the road while having a lovely run out.

The other is pipe soldered to an old drilled bolt and 20"+.long

What should the parts be?

Thanks

Re: The Restoration of AYW709

If you're looking at alternator - I had Luke as Wos Performance build one for me (Dynator). Took a lot of trouble to take my 3 brush in and copy to produce one that is identical from the outside with vents hidden out of sight!

Re: handbrake drum cam lever

Thanks Peter and Mike
I thought it looked wrong and the cable (albeit new) had a tortous route.
Should the cam operating arm bend away from the drum or towards?
If Away then the cam arms are either reassembled wrong for the cable retaining bolts or they've changed sides!

Re: handbrake drum cam lever

Replying to myself!
Could it be that the handbrake drum lever has been inverted at some time? If so-should it bend to or away from the drum?

handbrake drum cam lever

Hello The N/S handbrake cam operating lever on my nine sports is contacting the chassis / inner arch on large road bumps if anyone sits in the rear seat. So far I've found that the Andre Hartford style shock absorber is not damping at all! and that there is only 1" of movement before bumping. F...

Hi David
My '33 nine sports has a factory fitted SS engine which has a fan. Can you post a picture of the oil leak location?

Re: Diff hitting floor board

Thanks Mike
I didn't know the pictures were there! Explaines everything if I found the correct ones for the year.. The rear metal floor has been replaced with plywood with insufficient room for the diff dome. The seat is also flat underneath.
