Re: What coolant to use
Interesting to see that your car was delivered on the 11.10.32 and sold a few months later on the 12.01.33. The 1932 Motor Show at Olympia was held 13-22 October. KV2446 was chassis 45001 and registered on 23.09.32 KV3106 was also a 9 Sports, chassis 45078, registered 18.11.32 KV3105 (9 Sports), cha...

Further information has come to light...it came from an Estate clearance of a guy that lived in the Berkeley Hills of California, a once beautiful home that fell into disarray at the end. One of his autos he purchased from the Blackhawk Automotive Museum.....dimensions are approx. A3 portrait. 30cm ...

Re: Pesky carburetor to manifold nut!
Hi, here is the little I know. I have chassis 45062, registered one week after the motor show in '32/ 1st week in November. KV2644 was chassis no. 45001 registered in 23.09.32. Highly probably that your car also had a KV number. If I can recall correctly, the public announcement of the 9 Sports in t...

Singer Heel Mat
Some may remember early last year I instigated a project to remanufacture a Singer heel mat. Well, issues with the 3d printed mould (rubber bleeding into the mould's printed layers) and a small thing called covid-19 deflected my attention. Every cloud has a silver lining so they say, and I have just...

Singer Heel Mat
Finally, I have found some time to create a CAD model that will be used to 3D print an ABS mould to cast up some Singer rubber heel mats. While it's has been really tempting to insert a 'winged' singer badge-I have resisted the urge for authenticity. The SINGER" typeface I have used mirrors the...

Re: Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
Hi David, I managed to locate one. The outside diameter of the cap is 16mm. The cap seems to fit a tube with internal diameter is 12.5/13.0mm. I remember when fitted, the cap outer circumference extending beyond the external diameter of the bar. I guess, as it was a home-made solution at the time th...

I'll remeasure the badge bar diameter as I have one of the push in cap ends.

Re: Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
Found a picture of the bar fitted to my car. Originally, I don't think the badge bar extended beyond the width of the radiator shell. Aesthetically, that would make sense.

Re: Le Mans radiator cross bar & badge bar
The bar (actually a tube) is 1/2'' dia. Unfortunately I don't have the dims of the others as the bad bar went with the car. Based upon the 1/2 diameter measurement you should be able to estimate the stud length. The studs actually fasten into a tie-bar that is situated behind the mesh grille. Diamet...

Re: Singer pictures from personal archives
Nice car David...I love a KV number. Your car was registered on 30/12/33. With a last recorded owner of A J Power from Cheshire (31/5/65). I believe KV7023 (registered 8/12/33) was going to be a private entry into the Monte Carlo Rally- this car has also survived. I have KV9795 by the way; and prese...
