Re: 1928 Singer Senior rebuild and Hello !

Hi I have had this Singer bit for some time as it came off one I owned years ago. It's an extension for greasing the front shackle of a rear spring, if you see what I mean. It brings the nipple out through a hole in the valance above the running board. Would it be of interest/use to you :?: kind reg...

Re: New Project

Hi Colin,
It's looking good!
The doughnuts are available from Hardwick spares; they are the same as used on the 1.5, 14hp and 2 litres of thirties.
Hope that might help
keep up the good work
Bill
PS I'm back on my project too...photos soon I hope

Re: New Project

Hi Colin, Interesting shock absorbers; my '31 Junior was fitted with same type...Newton Hydraulic..methinks. I used a fairly thick oil SAE90 from memory but they never worked very well as there's no articulation to allow for angle change in the axle on cornering etc so as I was on a VERY tight budge...

Re: lockheed decal

I found this photo of a 1934 Le Mans in "High Speed Diary" - the autobiography of Reggie Tongue a pre war racing driver. I didn't know he had any contact with Singers. This car was bought new by him and the photos were taken soon after purchase. This is as good as I can get the scan as the...

Re: lockheed decal

Hi David,
I've contacted graphics companies in UK but they all say it's too complicated to be worth the effort for a small run. Thanks for your help though & I'll keep trying!
kind regards

lockheed decal

Hi, Has anyone sourced the Lockheed decal for the brake fluid reservoir on a 1934 9hp 4 seater and most other models fitted with Lockheed brakes. There seem to be plenty of Girling ones out there but none for Lockheed that I can find in UK
Any help appreciated
Bill
