Re: a Two Litre engine

Hello Brian, First, thank you for responding, and for letting me know of your illness. I am Very sad to learn that this is restricting your work. I am having that experience, simply for a different and perhaps obvious reason. At least in your case you don't have cause for recrimination or guilt. I ...

Re: Engine colour for 1936 Nine Sports

Hello John, The engine in my 1936 Singer Nine Sports is painted black. That's not definitive, as the car was restored in the UK 1979 by Malcolm Crump. He did, however, follow some of the color scheme from the original car, which he purchased as a complete banger in ca. 1975, wearing its original ...

Hello Oz Singer,

Any further discoveries on the solution to your brake setup?

Hope it had been progressing.

Re: Cir 1934 nine roadster starts again…

Hello Darcy, While it's 'slightly' off topic, I would share with you the experience a dear friend has had with Alfa Romeo body panels. Well into the 1960s, no body panels were interchangeable on an Alfa Giulietta: a door from one car simply did Not Fit another of the same stripe. In retrospect ...

Re: New find in Australia

Thank you, Trevor, for keeping us posted, and most likely for assisting this Lovely car to find its new home. May I echo what Phillip said: preserving these exceptional early cars is increasingly important. Phillip helped me complete the purchase of BMX7 when balkish, unresponsive sellers would ...

Re: US8155

This is simply Brilliant! How has progress been since then? May I ask, since the water/coolant outlet manifolds are exceedingly rare and, in a cast iron cum aluminium environment act as a sacrificial anode, whether powder coating or some other treatment, at least on the inside, might prevent the ...

Re: Water temperature and oil pressure gauges

Well, it's UNANIMOUS: the dash looks stunning.

Where did you find an Aric water temp gauge, or did it come with the car?

Keep cracking on: your progress is Gorgeous to witness.

HEADLAMP BITS NEEDED

Hello All, Thought to ask who might know of a set of headlamp innards ( reflectors, lamp sockets ( dining or otherwise ) ) for the 8" Lucas 140 headlamps on my 1935 Le Mans. Of course it would be Lovely if the reflectors didn't need re-silvering, but Anything that's sound and not crooked or crinkled ...

Re: a Two Litre engine

Hi Brian, Thanks for posting your most recent entry on this thread. I've been away from the website for a long while. I would apologize but it's been for family reasons: my remarkable wife Nancy grew sick and left us early this year, so I chose to spend as much time with her as humanly possible ...

Merry Christmas and Happiest of New Years! I know I'm out of synch, but Gracious! Colin, your wife's wood work is exquisite. You lot are, for talent, like my/our beloved Esmé is for cuteness: she goes to sleep and awakens even Cuter than she was when she goes to sleep. Is there any limit to what you ...

Congratulations! I've been waiting to see your final choices and the car looks fantastique!

When may we see more photos. This one is a gem, but sort of a tease at the same time.

More, please!

Very Best and Well Done,
