Re: 1938 and 1939 Singer Motor Car Club Rallies

Hi Danish,

I'm most inerested in a pair of the badges you show.

And they're not just for a 'collection'; I am the steward of a 1936 Nine Sports, CRL157.

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

David

Re: Green Wings is a TV star too!

What a great post, Phillip: thanks for sharing it, and for Ron Stauber's getting his car into that show!

Great PR for Singer lovers everywhere.

Have you ever been to that show?

Cheers,

David

Re: Le Mans Light Blue

Hello again, David, I suggest checking with Phillip. I've seen his car and have photos of both the car and the interior. I do not, however, remember if Phillip knows whether the interior is original or has been reupholstered. The fundamental challenges of color matching are time and oxidation. While...

Re: Very nice 1934 Singer Nine Sports for Sale in the UK...

As of 26 January, David Swann's Singer Nine is no longer listed on the prewarcar website.

While I don't know if this means the car has sold, that site is very good at keeping up to date on their listings.

Phillip, do you know if David has sold his car?

ARiC water temperature gauge

Hi, I want an Aric water temperature gauge for the dash of my Singer Nine Sports. As long as the gauge's face is in good condition and the indicator hand is in tact, the rest of the gauges condition is unimportant. Please contact me here, or at Havenhearth at live d o t com Thanks so much in advance...

Re: Hello

Just Brilliant!

It's so encouraging to see the progress you've made, week in and week out.

Any sense of what it will take to have you feel you are 'finished', or do you want to look at this as an ongoing project?

Very Best,

David

Re: Le Mans Light Blue

Hi David, Hi Phillip, Thought to weigh in again on this thread. By some miracle, I have found an original front apron for my 1936 Singer Nine. It is in its original light blue finish and the underside has been exposed to limited amounts of sunlight and heat. The apron is in transit now but when it c...

Well, Froux, your redoubtable Singer is looking very nice indeed. I Love the color choice you've made for the car.

Happy New Year, and may your progress accelerate (!) in 2017.

Re: Merry Xmas

As there are 12 days of Christmas in my book, it's still timely to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

There has been sadness or loss for some this year. May 2016 be a year of recovery, healing and Singer seat time.

Best,
David

Re: Hello

Well, that's a lot of progress!!

Congratulations! And thank you for taking us along for the ride. The car looks so good that, had you not mentioned its unfinished bits, I would have thought it was further along.

Keep at it: your work looks just great.

Re: Driving / spot light 1934

I haven't seen anything from Gregory's inventory, so I can't speak for their quality or the condition of their goods. Does anyone on the Forum have experience with their products? Lights? Electrical bits, etc? They have a wide variety of interesting items that could well be of use in Singer restorat...
