Re: 1950’s roadster

That's pretty interesting that the numbers are so high. On another note, the body number on the oval tag and the number and the number on the brass plaque match on my car.

Re: 1953 SM Roadster - Grey Paint Code

Here's are a couple of photos of Rootes' "Glacier Blue" for your perusal. This photo was taken outside under bright sun and the background paper is is actually quite yellow as shown. Again, to me this is a similar colour, but from a later vintage of car.

Re: 1953 SM Roadster - Grey Paint Code

I would hate to steer you wrong on something as personal as a paint choice, particularly when the colour in the photos seems to be bit different from one photo to the other. I also don't know whether or not a non-metallic grey was offered in 1953. I read somewhere that the Hepburn car was probably a...

Re: Singer 1500 Ghia - Aigle

I recalled that one of the Ghias thought to relate to these cars, turned out o be a a gorgeous 1953 fiat Ghia that had been recently restored by Greg Kinzel in Calgary. While googling that story, I was flabberghasted to see that another Calgary collector (Fred Phillips) has two stunning Ghias of sim...

Re: Personal Collection Photos

Great photo, Peter. I'm sure this has come up before, but do you happen to know what type of wire wheels were used? They look like a bolt on type and I'm just wondering whether they were off the shelf Ford wheels or something.

Re: Personal Collection Photos

Excellent photos! Lucy's car has not one, not two, but three huge bumperettes on the rear of her right-hand drive car. The other photo is really cool, too. Does that sign say "Radio Appreciation Day"?

Re: Under frame window seal

Sure John. No problem. The enamel is chipped or scratched on either of them and the chrome plating is extremely thin, as seems to have been the case with a lot of English and European cars of that era. The studs on the back of them are good though. Here's a photo showing their condition.

Re: Under frame window seal

If you're in a bind for the radiator badge, I have one or two very used ones that could use some work, but may be ok for what you need. I'll photograph them this weekend for you to check out, if you like.

Re: Promo shots

The photo of the coronation blue car is taken at the same place as the photos of the car with the hardtop that you posted some time ago. It looks to me it might even be the same car.

Re: Promo shots

Ah, yes of course it's silver. I wouldn't have thought that a tan interior would work so well with silver, but it looks good.

Great photos, Peter. I particualrly like the bronze/platinum car with the tan interior. That's a very attractive combination, if you ask me.

Re: Singer 4AD Tools

I had a look through my parts, but unfortunately I don't have any spare clips for the grease gun. I have a number of different clips that are all too small.

Re: Singer 4AD Tools

Wow, that restoration looks great! Well done!
I can take a look this weekend to see if I have the clip that you are looking for. I know that I have some tool clips kicking around, but I can't recall whether I have a spare of the wide clip for the grease gun. I'll let you know.
