Re: 1934 Le Mans door buffer
Hi David! There is a "roller" fitted in two L-shaped brass angles (screwed on to the sill wood member). And yes, there is a screwed on (2 diagonally placed screws), slightly wedge shaped chromed brass plate 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" on the door underside, designed to come in contact with t...

LM 1935 Brake drums
Hello all,
I need to overhaul the brake cylinders, but the brakedrum does not seem to be a separate part?
Does everything have to come off – castlenut, roller bearing, etc?
If so, what would be a suitable torque for the castlenut upon refitting?
Thanks!

Re: Door support roller, 2 and 4 seater sports
Hi,
Do not think my roller covering (piece of red rubber hose) is original. Anyhow, a piece of (black??) rubber tube should do it. The counter piece on the door underside, slightly wedge shaped and chromed, is most probably original.
Sorry for the picture quality!
Kind regards,
Steve S

Hi, Semicircular turnbuckles can be obtain from : https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/hood-turnbuttons.php However, I suspect the side of the turning button is not all together flat - it might have a cavity on both sides. Talk to them before ordering. They are helpful and dedicated peopl...

What size of' Pilot Jet' and 'Main Jet' would be the recommended choice ?
(Currently a mix of sizes fitted)
Many thanks in advance !!

Le Mans hood and tonneau
Hi all ! What would be the "correct" 1930's choice for the hood ? Double layer fabric (with rubber in between), or just single layer material ? And what would you choose for the tonneau - fabric or fake leather (PVC) ? Also, was there an original fabric colour "code" ? The car is...
