Re: Vendor/Service Provider Contact List

we had something similar on the old version of the website 10+ years ago, but it got badly out of date and I didn't move it when the site was updated. I have no problem with something like that but keeping it up to date is the issue. Best example is the home page, its 2 years out of date but I have ...

Re: Hello

Had to look up where Aix les Bains - Savoie is...Darn, a bit out of the way it might be too much of a detour as I drive from Lyon to Cannes.

back to the subject...car looks GREAT, now get the brakes working.

Re: spammers

again, we are really getting hit by spammers. I just deleted 546 forum membership requests for the month of January. I found a few people that tried to register that I missed (sorry, I missed your request in a timely manner, but you are now registered). The other 540ish, that I deleted were I think ...

Re: Hello

When you get some spare time, my Le Mans is waiting in the garage. You have done a great job in record time.

Re: SAVE A SINGER!

I agree, it looks like a easy project. I actually considered it for a brief second, but with 2 pre-wars waiting patiently and my silly promise to my wife that the Mini would be the last car I work on until after the Le Mans is finished, I had to stop thinking it. I do think this car is easily worth ...

Re: Side mirrors

There are no great detailed pictures on the site that I can find, but pictures in the Singer Gallery ( which needs MANY more pictures by the way, hint, hint ) 6, 10, 12, 13, 27 show original side mirrors. Picture 27 is the most detailed, remember that you can click on the pictures to increase their ...

Re: Hello

I have a Mini in my driveway that looks like that Spridget...have to finish it before I finish the Singer :( but its going pretty quick, gearbox and motor are done, just have to assemble the motor to the gearbox. Subframes are done. Most (all?) of the rust has been cut out of the body and now its ju...

Re: Hello

Awesome, pretty soon you will have to do the same with my car here in Calif.
Warning we have lots of body (wood) work to do first :)

I am not going to be working on my car for a while...Paris is calling me for the holidays and I always answer when Paris calls.

Re: Fender Beading

I prefer it black but on all the 4AD's I have seen that were original, it was painted. Any fender welting will do, but the original was quite thick, like a 5/16" rope wrapped in vinyl. The most common is to use VW welting but its pretty thin compared to the original 4AD welting, but easily avai...

Re: Any pictures of Earl Cass's Singers?

oh boy, now that is going to be difficult to find. I have pictures of his cars but they are from the late 70's and early 80's and would be 35mm slides. Since he was only 30 miles from me and I was working on my 4AD, I probably took 100's of pics of his cars. Can I find them ? I have no idea but I ne...

Re: 4AD Seat Mount Rails

I was sure the image gallery here on this site had pictures of that but i can't find one :(

Either way, Kabu is right about it being the bumper for the seat back.
