Re: Water Pump Seals

I agree it would be nice. On the website is the parts breakdown for the cars http://singercars.com/4ax/4ad_parts.html but it does not show the water in detail like the picture above.

Re: New Project

you already have the engine in the front, so that is half the puzzle. Now to turn the engine over is easy, loosen the front and the rear motor mounts, get a long crowbar about 6ft. so you have leverage, on one side of the engine and flip it over, voila the engine is turned over. You are welcome for ...

Re: 1933/34 4 Seater Seats

I can take pics of the seats on my 4 Seater but its a 1.5 Litre so all the measurements will be off, but I am pretty sure its the same design/concept. I will be out of country for 2 weeks, let me know if you still want the pics.

Re: New Project

great project, my favorite is always puzzles like this one, when some previous owner dismantled and now you puzzle out where it goes. Hint: the motor is up front :)

Re: Washer stuck in timing chain

I agree the small Singer is much prettier. The 1.5 Singer Sports's are a duplicate of the Riley, nearly the same size and design, so are you calling my car ugly ? :D :D :D :D http://us8155.rambour.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/p0001653.jpg Ok, now we might be going off track of a Washer in a timing...

Where the hec did that come from. Was it in the 1.5?

Ebay, a good 15 years ago, I still owned the 4AD and did not own a pre-war Singer when I got that.

Re: Nine sports - oil pump prime

Not sure how to prime that pump, it has no external drivers. On most cars you can remove something like the distributor to get to the pump drive and spin it, but the LM I don't think there is a way. I am quite sure someone will correct me. On a Dino, you remove one external oil line and using a pres...

Re: Ring Gear for 4A

you are right, the ring gears do wear all around. But they do tend to wear in a few spots as the engine when shut down tends to shut down in the same spot in the rotation. Not every time of course and but if you look closely as a well used ring gear you will see 2 or 3 spots that are more worn then ...

Re: lockheed decal

I also love the period photos. That was the original intent of the Gallery ( http://gallery.singercars.com/index.php ) but it never got used that way. On the second page of the gallery are the 2 galleries that we have gotten the most compliments on, the 4AD Restoration and the Le Mans Wood but the g...
