Have a line on a later Singer Roadster Parts Car if any interest
So through an acquaintance, I have found a later model Singer 4 in Illinois. It is a true parts car, no title, and would be a very involved restoration. Unlike my 1949 it has hydraulic brakes and tube shocks. Any interest let me know, and I can direct you.

Re: Engine Color
Thank you all. I was assuming it was red from the left over paint, but I now understand it is orange. I will move forward with what looks to be MOPAR orange.

Engine Color
Forgive me if there is already a thread on this subject. A search did not reveal anything.
I have a 1949 4A. Can someone assist with the color of the engine block, valve cover, manifolds, etc.
Thank you
Scott

Guy,
Great information. Thank you much for that information. Sent an e-mail inquiry to them.
Thanks again. Not likely I would have found them without your work

Re: 4A Front Suspension Rebuild
Front suspension out, and only 3 of 4 mounting bolts sheared. I am on to the spring re-curve now. Paul thank you for the insight and encouragement.

Re: 4A Front Suspension Rebuild
Thanks Paul, Shocks rebuilt, and I was planning to have the springs re-curved if needed, but I will at least clean and repaint. I am going to delay doing the rear suspension for now, but have already sheared the bolt heads in the front where the front of the spring mounts to the frame. Thanks again ...

Re: Ring Gear for 4A
Mine seems to show damage almost 270 degrees around, but I think what Paul describes with flipping it over will work for mine. Thank you

4A Front Suspension Rebuild
Hi
Any suggestions on rebuild of the front suspension on a 4A. A source for bushings, bearings, etc.
Thanks
Scott

Ring Gear for 4A
I discovered that the ring gear on my fly wheel is just a mess and needs replacement. Is anyone aware of a source for a ring gear. Mine has 112 teeth.
Is there an alternative that will work well on the 4A.
Thanks for looking and for your input

Re: New Owner Here
H Phillip,
I ended up with a different shorter and I assume noisier trctor muffler. So I will take a look at the one you recommend, I am also interested in parts, so if you are open to send me the details, my e-mail address is: a56healey@gmail.com.
Thank you again

Re: New Owner Here
Philip, thanks so much for the insight. I am now to the point where I am piecig the car back together. It is complete for the most part, but as you well know a slow labor of love with prepping all parts for reassembly. I ended up buying 2 stock oil filters from the UK Singer Club Stash, and I ended ...
