On the way to the Indianapolis British car event last week one of my Solex air filters vibrated loose and has been lost (over some 70 miles - I searched to no avail). Can anyone tell me where I may find a replacement?

Re: '53 4AD front shocks
I want to thank all of you Singer owners for helping me get this shock situation resolved. I discovered that I was not compressing the new Gabriel 63902 shocks enough for the fit. I have been running the 4ADT for years with previously recommended new 1970 model Barracuda shocks. John Slusars' admoni...

Re: '53 4AD front shocks
Dave, et. al., I am experiencing a very disappointing attempt to place the Gabriel 63902 shocks on my 1953 4ADT. The upper rod above the upper cylinder cap is 2.5 inches too long for the top mounting bracket to be installed. How is your '53 4AD different, I am wondering? This is particularly disappo...

Re: 4AD Instrument Panel Details
I have been in possession of my 4ADT since 1965 and removed the faux leather material a couple of years later because it was damaged and otherwise looked like crap. It was indeed, the same beige/cream color pictured in Paul Bouchard's images on page 2 of this communication. I recall that it was glue...

Re: Petrol gauge repair
Thanks,
I'll see if I can solder the broken wires back correctly and then use your suggestion to recalibrate the gauge. I would still like to know that Ohms from the sending unit detail as a fall back position if I am unsuccessful.

Petrol gauge repair
1953 4ADT 1500 Roadster: My petrol gauge has not been working and I've found that there are a couple of the fine coil wires broken. In searching, I've found that the workings of the MGA fuel gauge & diagram look practically identical (except for the dash mount). Does anyone know for certain if t...
