I have a 1949 singer 9A under restoration but am struggling to find a supplier in Australia for new main bearings -40. Can anyone suggest a supplier they have used in the UK or in North America I can contact. Thanks.

I'm about to recondition my 4A engine after it developed a serious knocking sound. I'm sure I heard mentioned that the morris minor 948 engine runs the same conrod bearings as the 4A singer engine. Can anyone verify this. Thankyou if you can help.
