Re: New Project

interesting to see the ad for Cook & Palmer, who were one of the biggest Singer agents as I recall. My 1933 Nine Sports came from the same dealership, delivered by a 'Mr Wilby' it appears in the ledgers. The first owner's neighbourhood has long since been re-developed and was perhaps bombed out ...

Re: Engine Color

I'm not an American Car Guy, but if Mopar Orange looks just like light brown primer, then that's it!

Yes! That is the original colour for Roadster engines - 1074cc and 1500cc!

Hope that helps!

STOWE 2017..A HOT TIME IN THE HILLS!

Just back from The 27th British Invasion! The Singer Sensation at Stowe was one of the hottest tickets in town this weekend...but, then, anywhere in Stowe would have been because summer finally arrived and made for a glorious weekend. The drive down in the new LR3 tow rig was a stress-free and smoot...

"Lizzy" is for sale - Very Original 1954 Twin carb 4AD...

Folks...I'm posting this for John Lewis. Sadly, he is selling his 4AD and this is a very nice one! As John mentions, we found this car in Hamilton, Ontario, along with a couple of other Roadsters. Re: Nine sports - oil pump prime

Agree wit David...I like to fill the pump itself with oil also. Contrats on bringing your project back to life. I'm also currently working on a 34MY Nine Sports that was in storage for 50 years. Sitting presently at Heathrow airport on my way back from the Beaulieu Autojumble with a bag full of pre-...

Re: lockheed decal

Already looked at the website D'Arcy and thanks for the heads up on the stickers. You'd already provided the clue in the photo!

I'm still going to test the water transfer method...will let you all know!

Re: lockheed decal

Yep...I'd agree...pretty much the same size as the rad badge.

I mocked up one to test since I bought the water transfer paper and figured I'd give both the Lockheed decal and Singer decal a go after Beaulieu and Stowe are done with.

Re: Singer LM 1.5 'Put Together Quickly!

Well David, no-one is counting. We all do what we can when we can. The joy of a hobby is that it is not an obligation. Martyn's work is always sympathetic and top rate. His Coupe restoration was written up in one of the UK classic car magazines as well. I just thought the time lapse was a clever pie...
