I've never seen them on the '33/'34.

Re: Personal Collection Photos

Yes. Radio station WINS put on a contest with a Singer as a prize. Not sure of the details, but Tony Rizzuto (NY Yankees) was the winner. It looks like you had to be a baseball player to enter. I'm sure someone could get some archival information on this if they were really industrious. radoi_apprec...

Re: Singer pictures from personal archives

Earliest it would be is Oct '32. Can't tell from the photo, but it looks like it has a spare tire cover.

Re: Tyre fitting help please

FYI, I do not use tyre irons with this method. Strictly by hand so no paint is damaged by prying.

Re: Singer LM 1.5 'Put Together Quickly!

David, It was more of a refresh than a restoration, not to minimize the effort. I had the pleasure of driving the car when Lindsay and I stayed with him and Jasmine a few years back. It was a lovely car to drive and in excellent condition then. However, Martyn felt that his original restoration was ...

Personal Collection Photos

A couple of new pictures that I have recently acquired. Others from the same shoot have been previously seen. The first shot is of Bill Vaughan and Phil Rizzuto. The shot commonly seen has Rizzuto in the drivers seat, having just taken possession of his new Singer. In this one, Vaughan is behind the...

Yes. I had seen that on #48 before. I assume it was easier to see at speed.

Fantastic shot David. It's photos like this that got me hooked on pre war Singers. Thanks for sharing.

Presumably Issue 2 2016 won't be seen. Any chances for something current for our membership in 2017?

Solex carb throttle spindle bushing

Adjusting my carbs a few weeks ago, I found the throttle spindles were quite sloppy which was causing idling difficulties. I contacted Gower and Lee in the UK and purchased a bushing kit to tighten things up. The kit consisted of two bushings and a new throttle spindle (the spindles and their housin...

Ottawa British Car Day 2017

Probably one of the best Ottawa British Car Days yet. The weather was glorious, particularly in contrast to the string of rainy days we have endured so far this summer. The show was graced with the presence of 3 Singers, including Barry Phillips’ 35 Le Mans, my ’34 Nine Sport and Robert Moreau’s mod...
