Re: Le Mans Progress

The seats have finally been completed. All that remains for the upholstery is some piping/trim behind the panels and the fascia. These will be applied after painting. The seat adjusters still need to be secured over the boot tonneau which also needs to be permanently fixed in place after painting. T...

4AD Survivor

This looks like a superb restoration project for anyone looking to own a roadster. Appears to be very complete with all parts that are usually missing on a project like this (even the transmission cover appears to be intact). Contact Dennis Gaston [gaston32ford@gmail.com] 20170524_142915.jpg 2017052...

Re: Promo shots

Kabu, The high rider bumpers seemed to be something that was available in the U.S., primarily through Vaughan Singer Motors of California, who I suspect in turn got then from a company called MG Mitten. The promo shots were two different sets. One showed the line up for '53 featuring all new cars. T...

Re: Promo shots

Re: Promo shots

Sorry, I knew it was D'Arcy, but there is that other D Green. Yes the Tan colour seems to go well with all the combinations. Here's a mystery for you. I'd love to isolate where the shots were taken. There is a landmark spire on the near horizon. I initially thought it was the Fox theatre but it is s...

Re: Promo shots

It's actually silver Dave. The photos are originals, in excellent condition, but they would be Kodachromes from the Fifties that didn't necessarily show true colours. They were also taken in bright California sunlight.

Promo shots

These are a few promo shots that I got as part of a lot of literature from Vaughan Singer Motors in California. Shows them "as they were" in '53 with all available colours except Black.

Re: Stowe VT British Invasion 2017

David,
I'm not entirely familiar with the '36 engine, but does the head have the water pipe cast into it. This is a spare I have that doesnt work for my cars.

Re: LM 1935 Hand Brake Lever

This is most likely off something entirely different. The LM handbrake is a cast piece and as such would break rather than bend to this degree.

Vendor/Service Provider Contact List

Mike et al Looking at Klaus' posting this morning, it occurred to me that we should have a vendor/Service Provider Contact List somewhere on the site where members have found parts and/or solutions to their issues. I'm sure that there will be others that face the same issue as Klaus has and somewher...

Re: A few pics

Another Dutch car. This one a lovely 1.5 litre. What a beautiful machine. Mike, it has to give you some incentive to get that Le Mans on the road.
