Remove the valve cover and undo the oil line at the front of the engine and pour in the oil.

Yes. Radio station WINS put on a contest with a Singer as a prize. Not sure of the details, but Tony Rizzuto (NY Yankees) was the winner. It looks like you had to be a baseball player to enter. Earliest it would be is Oct '32. Can't tell from the photo, but it looks like it has a spare tire cover.

FYI, I do not use tyre irons with this method. Strictly by hand so no paint is damaged by prying.
