Re: Steering box removal
Hi Roly, Having done all this hard work, do you know the serial numbers or specifications for the steering nut used in that awful Burman Douglas Singer 9 steering box. There is a bunch of these for sale on trade me.co.nz but the seller has no idea what they are from. I am in desperate need of better...

Rare Singer 1.5 B37
Another rare Singer sports has turned up for sale in the UK. It is the 4 cylinder 1.5 litre B37 and is the only one in existance with the original body in tact. Only 12 of this model were ever produced. To see some rather good photos and read the history of this car go to http://www.classiccarsforsa...

Re: Stone Guards....
Thanks a lot for the helpful advice and photos. I suspected that this would be a tricky job but fortunately I have access to a very cleaver chap who does magic things with aluminium! My car is not a genuine Le Mans rather it is a hand made Singer 9 Sports. The rear guards are a quite different shape...

Stone Guards....
I have a question re the alloy stone guards attached to the rear mudguards of the earlier Le Mans cars. My car is a replica and does not have the stone guards fitted. I want to make some but I can't figure out how they were originally fitted. Can anyone help me with info and/or photographs... Thanks...

Re: Singer (9) Engine identification?
Thanks for this....
Looks like a very nice engine. I am particularly interested in the manifold. I have been looking for pictures of the HRG twin carb setup for the 1074cc 9hp engine but without success. This will give me something to contemplate!
Cheers

Re: Singer (9) Engine identification?
Hi Philip, Thanks for the compassionate thoughts about Christchurch - my home town. They had another big aftershock yesterday - a 5.3 which caused considerable new damage but no loss of life. You mentioned some familar names. Ian Goldingham is an old friend and colleague of mine and the purchaser of...

Singer 1.5 Sports in NZ
Recently mentioned a 1935 1.5 litre sports for sale in new Zealand. I have managed to locate some photos of the car on the NZ Classic Car web site. Strangely, I think the car may have just been sold as it has been removed from the site in the last few hours. Just as well I saved the pix for my own l...

Singer (9) Engine identification?
Hello, (from New Zealand) I have just discovered this most useful site - top marks to the organisers! I am now wondering if anyone can help me to identify the engine in my Singer. I purchased the car only a few months ago from Christchurch (NZ) - just before the earthquake destroyed much of the city...
