Re: SW Ohio parts chasing
Here's the latest on Rosie. I've had a great summer driving her and putting her through trials. Last weekend I had her up to 60MPH on the main 4 lane road. My next test will be to tackle a long steep hill nearby that even taxes my modern car. She seems to be evening out, though I think she gets poor...

Re: Direction Indicator Mystery on Roadsters
I'm sorry to hear the flashers didn't work for Brian. My wife followed me in her car and said the flashers were brighter and more noticeable than my plain old festoon bulbs. Prior to finding the flashing festoon bulbs I had wired in an under the dash flashing unit for my converted tail lights but it...

Re: Transmission rubber cover
My rugs belly up to my stick, showing only the nicely polished bright bottom with the gear number positions. Looks good without a rubber boot. You might have to make a hump framework to shape the rug nicely. Make sure you do get your rug as close to the pedals as possible as mine left too much hole ...

Re: Direction Indicator Mystery on Roadsters
Hey, guys. I just installed this weekend the answer to my trafficator problem. Trafficators work on a constant power flow and magnet system. I bought a festoon bulb replacement from (If I may drop a name) Classic Car LEDs which is a bulb attached to a mini micro board that replaces your normal festo...

Re: 4AD heater ?
WM.... don't worry about a heater unless you live in Alaska. My 4A blasts me out with heat coming through the firewall holes for steering and peddles. Remember, these cars came about as stripped as they could get and most conveniences were added. My oldest son calls them go carts on vitamins. What d...

Solex 30 FAI
I'm sure this is happened to others.... I believe my carb may be ready for refreshing and am looking for parts or rebuild material should I or my mechanic tackle the job. I haven't found a site with a rebuild kit, so, I'm looking to members to tell me if they know where I can find what I'll need. I'...

Re: It's about time I said "Hello"
You have a beautiful baby there. Congratulations and welcome to the forums. I have three questions of you myself. First, what is your red color called as it seems a wonderful deeper shade than mine (supposedly signal red). Second, I love your black fenders (wings) accent and wonder if that was your ...

Re: Barn find 52 4AD
Granted that mine is a 4A, I've ordered up (and most likely paying too much) Castrol classic xl 30 motor oil which Castrol claims has all the vitamins and minerals a growing mechanical baby needs to go on. On the subject of oil.... I've got several oil drips from my car including one small river fro...

Mike, that carpentry looks fantastic. No wonder your daughter wants you to repair her house. But I get you first to help with my stair project! As far as the kids, as much as I love mine very much, when they left home I basically said don't let the door hit you in the axx. Once they showed they coul...

Re: SW Ohio parts chasing
Thank you , Grant. I have the sliding door windows, thank you. What I'm looking for are the small glass or plexiglass wind directing screens that slip into the braces on the side of your windshield. They direct the wind from blowing back into your face from the side of the car. Perhaps you remember ...

Re: Picture quiz
I don't have a front on picture. I remember he said it came in from Canada. (We lived in Scranton at the time) As a small boy I had my best of times with my father running around in it. We'd go watch the road rallies as the sport cars ran up and back down the mountains with hay bales as intersection...

OK, everyone. Here is the picture of my father's Singer. My sister and I are with my mother, the "Babe" in the picture. Can anyone figure the age and model? What about the circular bumper guards? Think they were a dealer item? The car behind was Dad's friend's MG. Oh, the picture was taken...

Thanks guys. Love hearing the thoughts, ideas and suggestions. Here goes another try to upload a picture... I hope it works for I have an old family picture of my father's Singer I'd love to post as he had a set of bumper guards on front and back that I've never seen before. I'm also still looking f...

SW Ohio parts chasing
Hello all. I finally got the new baby up and running. She is a bit shaky and needs a twist of the set screws but time will come. I found the root of my problems was the previous owner accidentally installed the battery backwards making the car a negative earth. I'm enclosing a few pictures if the up...
